Single Sign On with Softex OmniPass

OmniPass ROM is a software module that can be integrated by the OEM PC manufacturer into BIOS of computer to provide pre-boot secure authentication of the user before the operating system is loaded and the computer can be used. The user of the PC will now have to authentication with a fingerprint swipe or other supported device to gain access to the PC. When used in conjunction with the OmniPass Client Edition, OmniPass ROM offers a "Single Authentication" to the desktop. Once a user authenticates at the pre-boot level, that user can be automatically logged into Windows without another authentication.

OmniPass ROM is simple to integrate and can be done quickly. OmniPass ROM supports all major BIOS products available on the market today, including Phoenix BIOS products, Insyde BIOS and American Megatrends (AMI) BIOS.

OmniPass ROM is designed to be easily upgradeable in the field in the event of any update to the authentication technology (e.g. a fingerprint matcher code update) without requiring a re-flash of the system BIOS. OmniPass ROM also supports an unlimited number of fingerprint templates so that multiple people in the organization can be authorized to use the computer.
